“…can be credibly included alongside such canonical rock-docs as ‘Gimme Shelter’ and ‘Don’t Look Back.’”-LA Times

In the summer of 2007, shortly after the release of their 6th album Icky Thump, The White Stripes headed north of their hometown of Detroit to embark on an ambitious journey across Canada. The plan was to play a show in every province and territory in Canada, from B.C. to Newfoundland to Nunavut. “Having never done a tour of Canada, Meg and I thought it was high time to go whole hog…from the ocean to the permafrost” says Jack White. “We wanted to play out of the way towns that don’t usually get shows…the shows are better, it’s better for the people, it’s a better experience, it’s way more unique, something interesting is going to happen…hopefully.”

Local Beer Dinner : March 22nd

UPDATED 3/12/2010
Almost sold out! Only a few spots left.

Monday, March 22nd is our 2nd Beer Dinner.

Our first one sold out quickly and was a blast. 3 hours of eating and drinking with 50 people. It doesn't get much better.
Reservation only!
Menu (As of March 12th...subject to change):
This week we are busy planning The Next Big Beer Dinner. It's an all local line-up, starting with the very last (half) keg of our own Automatic #1. In addition to that spectacular beer, we will feature Green Flash's Trippel, Ballast Point's Abandon Ship, Alpine's Nelson and Alesmith's Speedway Stout. What's in store for food? Well, we will start with a mingling time and some sort of amuse bouche or something, and then sit down to another four courses that may or may not include lamb, pork, cheese and a lovely dessert from the ever-talented Rachel Going. There may or may not be fish involved. It's all subject to change according to Aaron's whims. And he has many whims. But know this: we do have a vegetarian (and even vegan) option, so if lamb, pork and such ain't your cup o' tea, we still can accommodate you with delectable food and beer. We will have the (mostly) final menu next week, but we are already 3/4 full.
Cost:
$65, which includes gratuity.
RESERVATIONS:
Email us (clea@kitscheninc.com) to secure your spot, or if you're visiting the BLAH, ask at the counter and they can ring you up and mark you down.
